Chapter X: Dance Phrasing

Steps and movements are just one side of the medal when we talk about jazz dancing. Creating a musical phrase with your movement, responding to the existing melody, playing with it or creating your own melody is the other part of it. Jazz dancing is like being a painter with your body and a musician. We will learn how to “rewrite” the movement habits with vocalizing and phrasing.
